On 1 February, the Air Senegal airline has inaugurated its new route between Dakar and Paris, with the new Airbus A330neo undertaking one flight per day. This will be the second service to the Senegalese capital, alongside the Air France flight, which also departs from Terminal 2E.
From 1 February 2019, the new Senegalese airline plans to operate a daily flight between its base in Dakar-Blaise Diagne and Paris-CDG, Terminal 2E, with departures from Dakar scheduled for 9.50am and arriving at 4.15pm, and return flights leaving France at 6.45pm and arriving at 11.30pm. Air Senegal plans to deploy an A330-900neo on this route, able to accommodate 32 passengers in Business Class and 258 in Economy.
Founded in April 2017, Air Senegal is at the heart of the Emerging Senegal Plan, which is working to create a regional airline hub around Blaise Diagne International Airport. Air Senegal is the first airline in Africa to fly the A330neo.
