By inaugurating its last new air link of 2018 between Shenzhen and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the Chinese airline Hainan Airlines has made Paris “the European capital with the best links to China”, with thirteen Chinese cities now served.

Hainan now counts three air links between the Chinese provinces and the French capital, which has been linked to Xi’an since late 2014 and to Chongqing and Shenzhen since 19 and 21 December 2018 respectively.

In 2017, the China and Hong Kong destination group accounted for 2.5 million passengers (all nationalities combined) travelling to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Between January and October last year, it grew by 4.5%, higher than the average growth in passenger traffic across the airport (3.8% over the same period).

China is the largest contributing country in Asia in terms of traffic volume within Paris Aéroport according to traffic figures provided by Groupe ADP’s Aviation Marketing Division
